i’ve always loved taking pictures…even during the manual days, i spent time & money buying films and had it developed. As a result, I kept tons of pictures and albums.
when i went to Japan, i spent 2300 pesos for the developing of my photos alone, excluding the albums- well- its was like 1 day, 1 album documentation…hehehe- joke!
after i bought and exploited my konika minolta digicam in 2005, i got tired of its generic features and wanted a dslr but during that time, it was just a dream. Sad to say, I was not really capable of buying it, so I just enjoyed the pics taken by Chris, a friend and project partner rep from DAR.
photography amazes me no end…well i just realized it recently because i used to be self centered- i just took photos of myself in it but when my i saw the digital photo collections of another friend, rexv- I realized that a photo can still be “your own” even if you are not in it. style.themes.color.gimiks.
a lot of my friends already ventured with DSLR- and i envy them because until now, I don’t have one- medyo mahal ang gusto ko e hehehe …my friend jet, who is a superfan of sony never failed to inject me with reasons to get an A200, every chance he gets- wel,l he quite mastered and has brought out the best of A200, i suppose. My housemate Beth also purchased an A200-maybe its really a best buy since it comes along with two lenses…hmmm- kaso i don’t like sony kasi talaga, ewan ko ba!
my mind is conditioned to get a nikon or canon- whichever is kaya ng bulsa ko and ok naman- I think I would go for it. Since amateur palang naman ako, ok na siguro ang nikon D90 (wow ang kapal ng mukha hehehehe) o kaya cannon 450D. I tried Nikon D60 courtesy of my officemate and I really liked it.
Photos taken by DSLR has certain drama and emotions that i can’t explain. Even if I don’t have a good subject in my office- I still managed to create some “drama”.
Let me post some of it here…xensiya na, first time e hehehe…

talking about the gadget – it’s not the camera, it’s the lens which is more important – and this is where C or N has an upperhand over S – no question about that. but of course the most important is how interested is the person who will use the camera – like you – so bili naa!!
would you believe that you can still use the old N lenses made during the 50’s in their latest N ‘digital’ slr? it’s like they already anticipated what will happen in the future when they made their lenses way back then. before, C lenses can be used in N cameras and vise-versa, then C becomes rebellious and changed their lens and camera system to advance (but their old lenses becomes obsolete). Today i think C is still the best, N is fast catching up, while S, 4/3 and others knows that they are fighting for the 3rd place.
whew! still trying to cath up with technicalities but yeah, i agree…i agree with your 2 points on lenses and interest!
thanks for dropping by again!
